April Fools

I love April Fools Day!!! I got the idea for the spilled drink idea from Family Fun..click HERE: My kids made these for their teachers. They took a good 3 days to dry. It really scared one of the teachers!!

I also found the template for these on Family Fun. I had to modify it a bit to make the end longer so that I could crimp the edges. Click HERE for the template. I wrapped them around a package of Reeces Pieces. The kids gave these to their teachers who absolutely loved them!!!

I didn't take a picture but another good prank was to glue a magnet to the bottom of a cup and put it on the top of your vehicle and then watch all the people try to get your attention. My kids laughed all the way to school with this one.

Valentine Box

Wish I could take COMPLETE credit for this idea but I saw this idea floating around somewhere on the internet and when Calista needed a Valentine box - it seemed like the perfect idea!
I used the medicine cups off the top of a couple of Nyquil bottles for the headphones. I wrapped them with tinfoil and use yarn to attach them to the box. The box is wrapped with pink wrapping paper and then I printed the face of the Ipod and Calista glued it to the front. I cut some music notes with my Silhouette and let Calista glue them on.

Paper Globes

I didn't take pictures of the ones that I made, but fortunately my sister made some and sent me some pics. We used these as centerpieces for one of our Relief Society meetings and then had a drawing to win them. Sometimes we use the drawings as an incentive to get sisters to show up on time..if they get on time, their name is entered into the drawing.

These are so cute and would be adorable in a little girl's room. You can find the instructions HERE:

Snowman Sampler

My sister Shawna found this idea in the Paper Crafts magazine and YES we cut all these out by hand!! Now that I have a handy dandy Silhouette - I would let it do all the work of cutting out.

Neighbor Gifts

These cute little snowmen can be altered using several different things. I've seen people make small ones out of Rolo's or Lifesavers and I've seen larger ones made out of the large Hershey bars. We drink a lot of the Crystal Light and I knew there had to be something that I could do with them.
I started collecting them during the summer and I had plenty by Christmas.
The printable can be found HERE. I then used some scraps of material to make the scarf and I used some fleece for the hats. You can either sew or glue the fleece into a tube. Place the hat on the container and tie off the top with raffia. I attached a small bell to the raffia but that is totally optional. I also made a small label that fit on the lid that said "Merry Christmas from your flaky neighbors"

Old Old Craft

This is a project that I made several years ago for some wonderful sisters that I was serving with in the Relief Society Presidency. I purchased scrapbook paper and then designed my quote and printed it onto the paper. I found these 5x7 wood plaques at Walmart for less than $1. I painted them and then applied the paper using Modge Podge.
